apc.au is composer and media arts producer, Andrew Garton, and digital media producer / project manager, Grant McHerron. We grew from the foundations of the Internet and community broadcasting in Australia and we still like to make things.

Andrew Garton

Andrew Garton is a producer, composer and online media advisor.

He co-founded Toy Satellite and Secession Records in the mid-1990s and was previously engaged in the establishment of social justice computer networks throughout Australia and South East Asia. Andrew has worked as interactive media advisor to Australian Centre for the Moving Image and was the inaugural Program Director of the screen resource centre, Open Channel.

Andrew is a founding Director of apc.au and currently serves as Secretary to the Board of the  Association for Progressive Communications. When time permits, he hosts the Sound Information podcast.

Andrew, formally nomadic, is currently based in Dunmoochin, Australia, where he is doing a one year residency writing and producing Tong Tana.

Grant McHerron

Grant McHerron

Grant is a techno-geek with over 20 years of commercial IT experience, primarily in project management, bringing structure & process to the apc.au mix along with a healthy dose of fun.

With a career that has ranged from building distributed, web based applications to managing global teams, Grant has extensive experience working with large corporations, small businesses and non-government organisations. He has worked in Australia, Asia and the Americas, enjoying the rich cultural diversity encountered in his travels.

Grant co-hosts the popular and highly addictive aviation based podcast, Plane Crazy Down Under. He also manages the Experience This! blog for the Flight Experience 737 simulator in Melbourne.
